At launch, several color names circulated based on internal filenames found on yeezy.com assets. However, it’s important to clarify that none of these color names have been officially confirmed by Yeezy.
For clarity and consistency throughout this article, we’ll still use these names purely as reference labels to help identify each colorway. These are also the names that the community has already started using organically, making them the most practical way to talk about the YS-01 lineup.
The only notable exception is Silver Green, which the community overwhelmingly refers to as “Cream” due to its off-white, slightly warm tone. To avoid confusion, we’ll stick with the naming that most people actually use when discussing the slides.
Real Photos of Each Yeezy Slides YS-01 Colorway (except one)
Thanks to the community, we’ve been able to gather real-life photos showing how most Yeezy Slides YS-01 actually look outside of official images. These community-submitted photos give a much clearer idea of the true colors, texture, and overall shape when worn.
At the moment, one colorway is still missing: the gray version. So far, no one in the community has received this color yet.

Overall, there haven’t been any real surprises with the Yeezy Slides YS-01, whether in terms of color accuracy or sizing. Based on community feedback so far, the slides look consistent with what’s shown on yeezy.com, and no one has reported receiving a color that looks noticeably different in real life.
This is worth pointing out, especially when compared to past releases where color discrepancies did cause confusion. For example, with the PK-01 Parka, some buyers noticed that the hood color appeared lighter in real life than on the official product images. That kind of mismatch hasn’t been reported with the YS-01 slides.

Yeezy Slides YS-01 Sizing: How Do They Fit?
There haven’t been any unpleasant surprises when it comes to sizing on the Yeezy Slides YS-01. Based on feedback from people who have already received them, the slides fit true to size (TTS), If you’re in between sizes, going one size up is recommended. If you have wide feet, sizing up can also work and may offer a more comfortable fit.

“Got my YS-01s a few days ago, no email, they just showed up. I have to say comfort is better than expected. Also, I wear a 17 in all Yeezy models (16 in CMPCT 350s) cuz of my super wide feet. I’ve never been able to fit Adidas Yeezy Slides cuz they only go up to 16 and the arch was always way too tight. Thought I’d try these YS-01s in a 16 since people have been saying they run slightly big, and they seem to have more room in the arch and even though they’re a little long (typical for me cuz I have to order larger size to accommodate my wide feet) I think they look pretty good. Comfort is great too!”

What Are the Differences Between the $20 Yeezy Slides YS-01 and Adidas Yeezy Slides?
In this video, Elliot Page directly compares the $20 Yeezy Slides YS-01 with the Adidas Yeezy Slides and surprisingly, he struggles to tell any real difference between the two. From the overall look to the fit on foot, both models appear extremely similar.
If you’re on the fence, I highly recommend watching the video. It’s genuinely insightful and gives a clear, real-world perspective on how close these two versions actually are.
The biggest difference here is the absence of the Adidas logo on the $20 version. More seriously, it’s difficult to feel any real difference between the two pairs, aside from color variations. For example, the Adidas “Onyx” colorway appears slightly lighter than the “Black” version sold on yeezy.com (see picture below).
To be honest, for $20, the value is absolutely solid. As long as you don’t completely mess up the sizing, which is unlikely unless you have wide feet and size down, the YS-01 offers very good value for the price.
